(8) Adjustments after installing rollers and solenoids

Perform the following adjustments after detaching and refitting the rollers and solenoids.

(8-1) Adjusting leading edge registration timing

Adjust the registration timing if there is a regular error between the leading edges of the
original and the copy image.

Procedure

Start

Enter simulation mode.

Enter 27 with the numeric keys.

Yes

Press the print key.

Press the all clear/reset key.

Press the print key to make a
test copy.

Does the copy image

look like example 1?

Does the copy image

look like example 2?

Increase the setting with the
zoom-up key.

Decrease the setting with the
zoom-down key.

Press the print key.

Setting range: 1 to 100
Reference: 70
Increasing the value makes the secondary
paper feed timing late, and decreasing it makes
the timing early.

The new setting is stored.

Select the mode to be adjusted
with the paper select key.

Mode 1: 100% copy
Mode 2: enlargement copy
Mode 3: reduction copy
