60 Initializing the toner control level
1. Enter 60 with the numeric keys.
2. Press the print key.
3. Press the print key. Aging starts and the toner sen-
sor control voltage is automatically set for the new
developer. After about 3 minutes, the drive stops
and the set value
appears on the copy quantity dis-
play. The developing unit drive time data is cleared.
If the result of automatic setting does not fall in the
range between 26 and 230 (0.5 to 4.5 V) due to a
problem in the developing section, the new value is
not stored and no data is shown on the display.
• If the stop/clear key is pressed during aging, the
operation stops and the toner sensor control volt-
age remains unchanged.
4. Press the stop/clear key.
61 Forcing toner feed
1. Enter 61 with the numeric keys.
2. Press the print key. Aging starts and toner is replen-
ished until the toner sensor output voltage reaches
the toner feed stop level.
• The toner sensor output voltage is shown on the
copy quantity display during toner replenishing.
• To interrupt toner replenishing, press the stop/
clear key.
3. Press the stop/clear key.

1. Enter 62 with the numeric keys.
2. Press the print key. The current setting appears on
the copy quantity display.
3. Change the setting with the zoom-up/down keys.
4. Press the print key. The new setting is stored.
5. Press the stop/clear key.
