(6) Detaching and refitting the heat roller and its separation claws

Clean or replace the heat roller and/or its separation claws as follows.

Procedure

1. Remove the fixing heater (see page 3-3-57).
2. Unlock the fixing unit by pulling the press levers at the front and rear, and open the fixing

unit (see Fig. 3-3-62).

Removing the heat roller

3. Remove the two pins and fixing unit upper guide from the fixing unit.
4. Remove the circlip and bushing from the front of the heat roller.
5. Remove the circlip, heat roller gear 40 and bushing from the rear of the heat roller.
6. Remove the heat roller from the fixing unit.
