Terminator
A terminator indicating the end of a message is called a “command terminator.” A
terminator indicating the end of a response is referred to as a “response terminator.”
Command terminators
One of the following may be used. No preliminary settings are required.
•
LF
•
EOI
•
LF+EOI
•
CR+EOI
Response terminators
CR+LF+EOI is set by default. Using a TRM command message, it can be changed
to one of the following:
•
CR+LF+EOI
•
EOI
•
LF+EOI
•
CR+EOI

The special symbols and characters used throughout this manual for describing mes-
sages are defined as follows:

A character string within these brackets represents program data.
Do not use these brackets when writing comments.

Characters or numbers separated by “|” within these brackets indi-
cate that you can choose between/among them.

<NR1>
This represents an integer.

<NR2>
This represents a real number.

<NR3>
This represents an exponent.

<HEX>
This represents a hexadecimal.
