Basic Operation

System Setup

Press the SYSTEM key to display the system setup screen (SYSTEM). The LED on
the SYSTEM key will also light.

You can set or enter the following nine items in the SYSTEM screen.

•

Setting the measurement mode (MAX., NORMAL)

•

Setting the PASS hold time

•

ON/OFF for momentary

•

ON/OFF for fail mode

•

ON/OFF for double action

•

ON/OFF for contact check

•

Setting the buzzer volume

•

Setting the contrast

•

Entering comments

Setting the Measurement Mode (MAX, NORM)

Select a measurement mode for resistance:

NORM: Normal measurement mode

MAX:

Retains a peak value

Press the F1 (MEAS) key, or use the

▲▼

keys to move the cursor

to MEAS MODE.

Use the rotary knob to select either MAX or NORM.

Turning the knob clockwise:

MAX

Turning the knob counterclockwise: NORM

Setting the PASS Hold Time

Set a hold time for PASS judgment between 0.2 s and 10.0 s (resolution: 0.1 s), or
set to HOLD.

When PASS HOLD is set to HOLD, the tester retains the PASS judgment until you

press the STOP switch.

Press the F2 (PASS) key, or use the

▲▼

keys to move the cursor

to PASS HOLD.

Use the rotary knob to set a hold time for a PASS judgment.
