Starting the Test Programs
To start the diagnostic tests:
Note: Use your backup copy of the System Board Diagnostic
Diskette or Micro Channel Diagnostic Diskette when you run
the diagnostic programs.
1. Insert the Reference Diskette into the primary diskette drive
(usually drive A).
2. Turn on the system. Or, if the system is turned on already,
insert the Reference Diskette and press Ctrl

few moments, the system programs Main Menu appears.
3. Start the system programs, if you have not already done so.
4. Select Test the computer; then press Enter.
a. To test Micro Channel adapters, Select Option diagnostics
from the Test the Computer menu; then press Enter. A
message prompts you to remove the Reference Diskette and
insert the Micro Channel Diagnostic Diskette into the
primary diskette drive. Follow the instructions on the
screen.
b. To test the system board and system components, go to
step 5.
5. Select System board diagnostics from the Test the Computer
menu; then press Enter.
6. Insert the System Board Diagnostic Diskette into the primary
diskette drive.
The IBM PC Server logo appears on your screen followed by the
system running POST. When POST completes, QAPlus/PRO
for IBM appears on your screen.
7. Press any key to continue. The Welcome window appears.
8. Press any key to continue.
Note: IntruderAlert starts and runs automatically after you
press any key. If IntruderAlert detects a problem with
the System Board Diagnostic Diskette, it will
