9. Remove the backup copy of the Reference Diskette from the
drive.
Press Enter to restart the system. Complete any other
instructions specific to your options.
Notes:
Ÿ After copying all the Option Diskettes and backing up the
configuration information, remember to write protect the
backup copy of the Reference Diskette. Locate the switch
on the left side of the backup copy of the Reference
Diskette, and then push the switch down to prevent
overwriting the information stored on the diskette.

If you are configuring your system for the first time, you
will be prompted to install an operating system upon
completion of step 9. Refer to Chapter 2, “Installing
Your Software” on page 19, and your operating-system
documentation for instructions for installing your
operating system.
Ÿ For information regarding system configuration
requirements and backup procedures:
– On a disk-array model, see Chapter 3, “Configuring
the Disk Array” on page 71 and “Using the System
Diskettes” on page 164. If you installed hard disk
drives, you must configure each newly installed hard
disk drive as a hot-spare drive or as part of a disk
array. See “Defining the State of a Drive” on
page 102 or “Creating a Disk Array” on page 85 for
instructions.
– On a non-disk-array model, see “Using the System
Diskettes” on page 164.
– If you installed options during setup and have
updated your configuration, return to Chapter 2,
“Installing Your Software” on page 19 and complete
the setup and installation procedures.
