Connect the test harness 21P between the handle
lock module 21P (Black) connector and main har-
ness (page 23-17).
Check the continuity between the test harness 21P
and EM connector.
There is continuity if the system is normal.
If there is no continuity, check for open circuit in
Green/black and/or Black/brown wire.
IGNITION SWITCH INSPECTION
Remove the screen garnish (page 3-18).
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the ignition switch 2P (Gray) connector.
Short the connector terminals with jumper wire.
Check each component for normal operation
• Each component does not operate normally,
check the following:
– Open circuit in Red or Red/black wire
– Blown MAIN B fuse (15 A)
– Blown ECU, IGN fuse (10A)
• All component operate normally, replace the
ignition switch (page 23-27)
HANDLE LOCK MODULE REMOVAL/
INSTALLATION
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Remove the inner cover (page 3-27).
Disconnect the ignition switch 2P (Gray) connector.
Disconnect the following:
– LED holder 3P (Black) connector
– Handle lock module 21P (Black) connector
CONNECTION: 2 – Green/black
12 – Black/brown

Green/black
Black/blown (12)
EM 2P CONNECTOR
(Wire side/female terminals)
