FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING

Be careful not to

damage the brake

pads.

Install the front wheel between the fork legs while
inserting the disc between the pads.

NSS250A: Be careful not to damage the front wheel
speed sensor.

Apply grease to the front axle sliding surface.
Install the front axle from the right side.
Hold the axle bolt and tighten the axle bolt to the
specified torque.

Install new right axle holder bolts to the specified
torque.

With the right brake applied, pump the forks up and
down several times to seat the axle and check brake
operation.

Install the front axle holder bolt and tighten it to the
specified torque.

• NSS250A: After installing the front wheel, check

the clearance (air gap) between the sensor and
pulser ring (page 18-24).

FORK

REMOVAL

Remove the following:

– Front fender (page 3-30)
– Front wheel (page 15-13)

Remove the bolt and brake hose clamp.

Remove the front brake caliper mounting bolts and
front brake caliper from the fork leg.

• Support the front brake caliper with a piece of

wire so that it does not hang from the front brake
hoses.

• Do not twist the brake hose.

TORQUE: 69 N·m (7.0 kgf·m, 51 lbf·ft)

TORQUE: 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)
