FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING

Install the handlebar post by aligning its pin with
the cut-out of the steering stem.

Install and tighten new handlebar post mounting
bolts to the specified torque.

Temporarily install the handlebar to the lower hold-
ers and install the lower holders and nuts.

Tighten the lower holder nuts to the specified
torque.

Remove the handlebar.

Install the rear handle cover.

Install the front handle cover, socket bolts and
washers.

Remove the following:

– Handlebar post cover (page 3-20)
– Handlebar (page 15-8)

FRONT WHEEL

REMOVAL

Loosen the right axle holder bolt.

Loosen the front axle bolt.

Support the scooter on its center stand.

Jack up the scooter to raise the front wheel off the
ground.

Remove the front axle bolt.

TORQUE: 128 N·m (13.1 kgf·m, 94 lbf·ft)

HANDLEBAR POST

Align

BOLTS

TORQUE: 39 N·m (4.0 kgf·m, 29 lbf·ft)

LOWER HOLDERS

HANDLEBAR

NUTS

BOLTS/WASHERS

FRONT HANDLE COVER

REAR HANDLE COVER

BOLT
