BATTERY/CHARGING SYSTEM

BATTERY

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Always turn the

ignition switch OFF

before removing

the battery.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Open the front seat and luggage box mat.

Remove the screws and battery cover.

Remove the screws and battery band.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the battery nega-
tive (–) cable from the battery.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the battery positive
(+) cable from the battery.

Remove the battery.

Install the battery in the reverse order of removal.

• Connect the positive (+) cable first and then the

negative (–) cable.
