This would suddenly speed up the rotor which pre-
maturely wears out the clutch and gearing. In addi-
tion, the main rotor blades which are generally loosely
hinged would not smoothly follow such a sudden ac-
celeration and would swing out of their normal posi-
tion, perhaps even striking the tail boom.
After starting the motor, you should therefore
s l o w -
l y accelerate the system speed with the throttle lim-
iter.
