B.2.2.5 GRS 77 Mount

An RV-10 GRS 77 Mount is produced by Van’s Aircraft, see Figure B-14.

B.2.2.5.1 GRS 77 Mount Installation Guidance

Van’s Aircraft drawing OP-48 provides detailed instructions for installing the G900X/G950 GRS 77
mount in an RV-10. The mount is installed to the left of the F-1029-L bellcrank rib and perpendicular to
the aft F-1007-L bulkhead.

NOTE

It is imperative that the top surface of the VA-260A shelf be level in both pitch and roll.
A digital level or other highly accurate measurement device should be used to ensure the
shelf is level within 2.5 degrees of both pitch and roll prior to riveting.

Once the mount is installed, the GRS 77 mounting rack (115-00459-00) is attached to the mount with #10
screws. To maintain proper mount rigidity, it is imperative that all five mounting rack screws/nutplates
are installed (one on each corner and one in the center).
