On this graph, the SEC alarm threshold value is set as 100.
The SpO
2
value begins to fall below the alarm limit at approximately 10 seconds.
At the same time, the integral value begins to increase. (Alarm limit) – (SpO
2
value) is accumulated each second.
At approximately 25 seconds, the integral value reaches 100 and the alarm is
generated.
The SpO
2
value returns to the level within the alarm limit at approximately 36
seconds. At the same time, the integral value begins to decrease. [(Alarm limit) –
(SpO
2
value)]x 2 is subtracted each second.
CAUTION
Whether to use the SEC alarm function and its threshold
selection should be based on the patient's clinical indication
portent and medical evaluation.
If the SpO
2
alarm and SEC alarm setup is set to OFF, the
SEC alarm integral value will be set to 0.
1 Press the
(Menu) key, and select “Parameter Setup” > “SpO2 Setup”
> “SEC Alarm”.
The "SEC Alarm" window will be
displayed.
2 Select the value from [OFF] / [10] /[25] / [50] / [100].
If [10]/[25]/[50]/[100] is selected, a circular SEC alarm indicator will be displayed
in the numeric data box. As the integral value increases, the indicator will begin to
fill, and when it is completely filled, an alarm will be generated.
If [OFF] is selected, SEC alarm indicator will not be displayed.
