Interval Maintenance work
Every 2 to 3 years (Where necessary) replace hoses:
• C-Flex, white ID 3.2 mm
• C-Flex, white ID 6.4 mm
Every 2 or 4 years Measuring interval < 1 hour:
Replace Liquid Manager every 2 years
Measuring interval ≥ 1 hour:
Replace Liquid Manager every 4 years
If required • Clean the housing
• Clean CAT8x0 sample preparation (automatic cleaning)
• Rinse the system
12.2 Cleaning

CAUTION
Risk of injury from reagents escaping

Before replacing, always rinse the system first.
12.2.1 Cleaning the housing
‣
Clean the front of the housing using commercially available cleaning agents only.
The front of the housing is resistant to the following in accordance with DIN 42 115:
• Ethanol (for a short time)
• Diluted acids (max. 2% HCl)
• Diluted bases (max. 3% NaOH)
• Soap-based household cleaning agents
NOTICE
Cleaning agents not permitted
Damage to the housing surface or housing seal
‣
Never use concentrated mineral acids or alkaline solutions for cleaning.
‣
Never use organic cleaners such as acetone, benzyl alcohol, methanol, methylene
chloride, xylene or concentrated glycerol cleaner.
‣
Never use high-pressure steam for cleaning.
12.2.2 Cleaning CAT8x0 sample preparation (automatic cleaning)
The Liquiline System CAT8x0 for sample preparation facilitates regular backflushing of
the filter and the sample hoses.
‣
Select a suitable cleaning interval under Menu / Setup / Sample preparation / Sample
preparation 1 .
12.2.3 Rinsing the system
Measurement, cleaning or calibration is not possible while the bottles are removed.
Rinsing the collecting vessel with sample and draining it
1. Open the analyzer.
2. Stop the sample supply.
3. Press the soft key
MODE and select Manual mode .
 The display shows Current mode - Manual .
Wait until all operations have stopped. Ongoing operations can be stopped under
Menu / Operation / Manual operation .
