T065 - Robot Over-Current Condition
Description
GUI Description:
Robot power is interrupted due to an over-current condition.
Explanation:
The library detects that the 42 V picker supply circuit on the
LCB is not at an acceptable voltage. Field data indicates that this is most likely
an issue with the LCB, rather than a picker assembly issue. See additional
note below for further diagnostics that can be performed by service personnel.
Detection Scenarios
Monitoring of voltage divider indicates partial or complete voltage drop.
Root Causes
• The 48 V to 42 V conversion power supply on the LCB has shut down due
to excessive current draw.
• Board-level hardware failures.
• Permanent or temporary short in cables, connectors, or picker.
• Various hardware failures in picker that cause too much current to be drawn.
• Shorted module terminator or module-to-module cable pins.
Service Resolution
Steps
1
Perform
DR035 - Resolve Robot Power Interruption
on page 383.
2
Look at the LEDs on the back of the LCB. During normal operation, the
green LED should blink once every second and the blue LED once every
10 seconds. If T065 is posted with
T076
, use the FRUs listed below, and
not the FRUs listed in
T076
.
3
Visually inspect the fuse on the LCB to see if it is blown. If it is blown,
replace the LCB.
Additional Note:
Service personnel can further diagnose this problem and
narrow it down to either the LCB or the picker by performing these steps:
1 Open the door.
2 Close the RAS ticket via the operator panel.
3 Remove the picker from the library and unplug the cable spool connector so
that the picker is disconnected from the library.
4 Place the picker back into the library in this condition.
5 Close the door.
6 If a
T076
RAS ticket is generated, the picker needs to be replaced.
Otherwise, the LCB must be replaced.
Possible CRUs/FRUs
Note:
Read and perform all resolution steps before dispatching any parts.
Dispatch the first part listed below for replacement. If this does not solve the
problem, dispatch the second part, and so on, in order. Dispatch only one part
(or set of parts) at a time.
1 LCB
2 Picker Assembly (if Model 1 robot is installed)
or
Robot Assembly (if Model 2 robot is installed)
3 Cable Spool (if Model 2 robot is installed)
