AudioFile SCX user manual

AutoZone

utoZone

is a simple & fast system of linking together adjacent tracks according

to a selected multi-channel format. The formats which can be selected are

tereo, 5.1

and

7.1

. AutoZone works by linking together adjacent tracks (within

the selected window if configured) with matching in and out times. A tolerance
can be defined to either widen or narrow the timecode match window.

Pressing

CREATE ZONES

will activate the AutoZone system which will then

utomatically search through the events list linking together events which fall into

the selected criteria. Each set of linked events is then considered a “zone”.

To remove all the zones, use the

REMOVE ZONES

key.

A good example of using AutoZone is after importing an

OMF

file in which some

of the clips were originally “stereo” in the source system. Because the OMF
specification contains no provision for stereo, these clips become “dual mono”
when imported via OMF.
