When a new Event is added it is placed on the appropriate Default Tracks (i.e. a

When building up an Event List it is often desirable to place new Events on
different Tracks (although note that Events can be moved to different Tracks
once they are in the Event List). The Default Tracks can be changed at any time,
including immediately before adding a new Event.
To change the Default Tracks
Press the LOCAL DEFS HardKey.
The Cut and Splice Local Defaults page will be displayed.

Toggle the MONO/STEREO SoftKey to the required type.
The DEFAULT TRACK SoftKey will indicate the current track number for the
selected type. This is now the Current Default Track (or Tracks).
