Click the Low level Format button.
A confirmation dialogue box will be displayed.
Click Yes or No as required.
If Yes is clicked, the hard disk will be formatted. The format activity will be
indicated in the Status box at the top of the Formatter window.
The Status box will display Idle when the format is complete.
The hard disk must be initialised after it has been formatted.
To initialise the disk use the
Media Utilities page of the AudioFile SCX.
To close the Formatter
Click the OK button.
The Formatter dialogue box will close.
Press
T1-LOC on the AudioFile SCX control surface to restart the AudioFile SCX
software.
User System Routine Maintenance
It is recommended that any audio that is to be retained should be backed up and
all AUDIO drives formatted and verified at least once every two months.

his is particularly important whenever disk formatting is required following the
stallation of a replacement disk or a system upgrade.
It is also advisable to allow the system time to stabilise at normal operating
temperature before carrying out the recommended user maintenance
procedures.
The system is not to be used in cold or damp environments.

All recording is executed in the Cut and Splice Page. When AudioFile SCX is
recording the ‘RECORDING’ message will always appear at the top of the
recording window (wherever it is located within the Page).
Recording Level Meters
Bar meters for registering recording levels are displayed across the centre of
both the Source Record and Assembly Record Pages, these are calibrated in
5dB steps from -60 to 0dB (peak level readings are held for approximately two
seconds).
