AudioFile SCX user manual

compatibility with the wide range of platforms which support this interchange format. The
AES31 format was specified by the AES and was intended to be a completely open, text
readable audio interchange format. When introduced, manufacturers and users alike had high
hopes for AES31. However, the format was not supported by Avid and Digidesign and hence
has not been widely adopted within the industry.

AES31 import is launched from the Projects page in the same way as OMF import.

AES31 defaults page

Import Rendered Fades And State

OFF: Rendered fades within the AES31 file will be converted into AudioFile real time fades.

ON: Rendered fades will be converted to real time fades as above, but the rendered fade will
also be imported and placed in the events list as a muted event. This gives the user the
option to use the rendered fade if desired.
