Problems with the N4876A

Problems with the N4876A - Concepts

When you have opened the

External Instrument(s) - Config

window and have

selected N4876A from the external instruments, select

Multiplexer

under

Enable

Function

column in the list, the

Multiplexer Connection

dialog appears.

Cannot-Connect Problems

An error message may appear when you now press

Enable

If this happens, ensure that the N4876A has been correctly installed (see

“Installing

the N4876A - Procedure” on page 544

Check the Power Supply

Ensure that the power cord is connected.
The green LED close to the power switch must be illuminated when the unit is

turned on.

Check the USB Communication

Ensure that the USB cable is connected between the USB port at the rear of the

N4876A and one of the USB ports at the rear of the Serial BERT.

Open the

Utility

menu and click

Minimize GUI

to gain access to the Windows

operating system.

In the Windows task bar, click the Agilent IO Control icon.
