At the bottom left of the Timeline window, zoom controls also let you change the scale of
the time ruler and view the sequence in more or less detail.

To position the current time in the Timeline window:
Do any of the following:
•
In the time ruler, drag the current-time indicator or click where you want to position the
current-time indicator.
•
At the left of the Timeline window, drag the time display.
•
At the left of the Timeline window, click the time display, type a valid time, and press
Enter.
•
In the Monitor window, use any playback control in the Program view. See
“Using
Monitor window controls” on page 105
.
To display the sequence in more detail:
Do one of the following:
•
Select the zoom tool
, and then click or drag a marquee selection around the part of
the sequence you want to see in more detail.
•
Drag the zoom slider to the right, or click the Zoom In button
.
•
In the Timeline window, drag the ends of the viewing area bar closer together.
To display more of the sequence in the Timeline window:
Do one of the following:
•
Select the zoom tool
, and then Alt-click an area in the Timeline window.
•
Drag the zoom slider to the left, or click the Zoom Out button .
