Procedure

to display the MISC menu.

Viewing the VISA Information

Press the

VISA Info

soft key to display the network setup information that is

necessary for communications using a VISA library.

Explanation

VISA information contains the character string that is passed to open a device (viOpen())

using a VISA library.

GPIB: A character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the GP-IB interface.
RS232: A character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the RS-232 interface.

The x in ASRLx is the COM port number to be used on your PC.

LAN: A character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the VXI-11 protocol of

Ethernet.

USB: A character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the USB-TMC protocol.
