Measurement procedure:
1
Take a semi-micro vial cuvette and label it as "ZERO".

Transfer approx. 1 ml of Reagent S into the cuvette.

Place the ZERO cuvette into the cuvette holder of the photometer.

Put on the light shield and press "ZERO".

Remove the light shield.

Remove the cuvette again.

SAMPLE TESTING: Label the reaction vials and cuvettes according to the number of
samples to be tested (e.g. 1..2..3..).

Transfer 10 ml of Reagent W into each reaction vial.

Transfer approx. 3 ml of Reagent S into each reaction vial by using a Pasteur pipette.

Transfer into each reaction vial individually 0.1 ml of the well mixed cylinder drain oil sample.

Transfer 1 Iron-reaction-tablet into each reaction vial.

Close the reaction vials.

Tap "NEXT" to start a 02:00 minute(s) shake coutdown and shake all reaction vials
immediately.

Tap "NEXT" to start a 10:00 minute(s) reaction countdown.

Shake again all reaction vials. Press "NEXT" to start a 15 second(s) countdown.

Wait for the phase separation in the reaction vials.

Take about 3.5 ml of the lower magenta (light to strong) coloured phase with a clean 5 ml
syringe.

At the tip of this syringe, connect a 0.45 µm syringe filter.

Filter the magenta solution into a clean cuvette.

Insert the cuvette into the cuvette holder of the photometer.

Cover with the light shield and press "TEST". Note the Iron value of the sample in mg/l.
