Overview of servo application functions
8.1
This chapter introduces the application functions supported by CoolDrive Smart7.
The main contents include the application scenarios, related parameters, usage methods and precautions of each function.
The functions covered in this chapter are shown in the table below.
Application functions
Function description
Electronic gear ratio
By setting the coefficient of conversion from the user position command unit to the drive's
internal position unit, it is easier and more intuitive for the user to plan and issue position
commands.
quadrant projection
suppression
By setting the compensation value, quadrant glitch is suppressed and the following of multi-axis
arc planning trajectory is enhanced.
Infinite position mode
Used in scenarios where the device is required to run continuously in a single direction to
ensure that the device can continue to run normally when its stroke exceeds the target position
value limit or the motor encoder multi-turn value limit.
Field weakening
control mode
Used to increase the upper limit of motor speed under a certain DC bus voltage.
Position comparison
output
When the actual position passes the position set by the parameter, pulse signal is output
through the DO terminal of servo drive.
Touch probe
Position information is latched by using external trigger signals.
Dynamic braking
An emergency stop mode realized by short-circuiting the winding resistor of motor.
Digital input and
output function
Used to configure the digital input and output signals for the information exchange between
the servo drive and external device.
