Cell Option: Solar Power (356902)
356902 - (Ontrac Cell-Solar Power) -
This option provides power for reliable communication during
long periods of system inactivity (winter). This option is normally used with the Ontrac Cell-Wire Theft
option.
Verify that all parts match accordingly.

1. There are several ways to mount the panel depending on the location installed. See illustrations below.
2. End of System Mounting:
a. Option #1: Install the solar panel on the strut angle mount next to the tower top using a 1/2” nut and
bolt.
Option #2: Use the beam clamp to attach the solar panel assembly to the system truss rod.
3. Pivot Center Mounting:
a. Option #1: Mounting on a Reinke EII pivot center use the outside mounting holes on the bracket,
insert the 3/8” bolts through the bracket and leg and secure with 3/8” nuts.
Option #2: Mounting on competitive or older Reinke pivot centers, use the beam clamp and secure
to the pivot center angle iron.
4. Install the cable strain relief and cable on the Ontrac Cell-Base Unit. Use any available 7/8” knockout
position. Connect the solar panel to the G2 board SOL1 header.

NOTE: The solar panel needs to point to the south with an angle that is equal to (Latitude * 0.76 + 3.1) .
