Ontrac Cell Base Install (350785) & Mounting (355735)(351531)
1. After all options are installed and wiring is complete connect the battery to the battery terminal
a. This will initiate the G2 board and cell modem to boot.
b. This can also be done by using any of the three types of DC inputs: Battery, Solar 1 and 2,
or Power Supply
c. You will see the following via the LCD: Start Boot, Initializing.., Startup Comms: Modem
A Waiting…, Connection Made, Xmit OK: Success (means a boot report was successfully
sent)
Note: These screen displays happen fairly fast. If GPS is enabled on G2 board boot it will
be noted on the LCD between Initializing and starting Comms.
d. The Red LED on Modem should flash at a consistent rhythm about every 2 seconds.
Note: A rate of about 1/2-1 second indicates the radio is online with the cell
network and is sending or receiving information.
2. About two minutes after a successful boot the unit will send a station report. This will give the
status of all its monitoring parameters.
3. Use the customer user interface to verify the system reports the system running forward and
reverse.
