Appearance
Function
The iTN2100-NTU-4GF is a 1000 Mbit/s Ethernet aggregation card used by the iTN2100.
It has complete Multi-Protocol Label Switching-Transport Profile (MPLS-TP) networking
capability.
The iTN2100-NTU-4GF is mainly used for the Packet Transport Network (PTN). As the
uplink card of the iTN2100-2IGC, iTN2100-TSU, iTN2100-16GF, iTN2100-8FX, and
iTN2100-CES-16E1T1-BL service cards, the iTN2100-NTU-4GF forms a system-level
MPLS-TP networking scheme. It provides seamless communication with the
MPLS/PTN, meeting entrance test requirements of the Ministry of Industry and
Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.
Cooperating with the iTN remote devices, the iTN2100-NTU-4GF provides a complete
intelligent access solution.
Support card-level protection and GE interface link aggregation between two cards.
Support master and secondary protection switching between two cards.
Support hot swapping, High Availability (HA), and hot backup.
Support 4 MPLS services: static Label Switching Path (LSP), Tunnel, Pseudo-Wire
Emulation Edge to Edge (PWE3), and Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS).
Support 802.3ah, 802.1ag, Y.1731, MPLS-TP OAM, APS protocols, Ethernet link-level,
Ethernet service-level, and LSP-level connectivity and performance detection, and LSP
protection.
Support Ethernet services, including Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), Medium
AccessControl (MAC) address table, QinQ, and Ethernet protocols such as STP,
G.8031, LLDP, and LACP.
Support configuring the static IP address on the virtual interface to manage the IP
address of the used device.
Support simple static IP routing and DHCP.
Support simple traffic classification, ACL, CAR, and queue scheduling.
TDM services support TDM accessing PWE3.
Support Ethernet clock, CES clock, and 1588 V2 time synchronization.
Functions realized by the iTN2100-NTU-4GF and other service cards are shown as
below:
The iTN2100-NTU-4GF and the iTN2100-8FX, iTN2100-16GF, or iTN2100-2IGC
work together to make the iTN2100 system realize MPLS-based Ethernet leased
services, providing end-to-end protection and OAM.
The iTN2100-NTU-4GF and the iTN2100-CES-16E1T1-BL work together to make the
iTN2100 system realize MPLS-based TDM emulation services, providing end-to-end
protection and OAM.
The iTN2100-NTU-4GF and the iTN2100-TSU work together to carry services of 2G
and 3G base stations , supporting synchronous Ethernet and CES service clock recovery.
8.1.2 Slots
The iTN2100-NTU-4GF can be plugged into slots 9 and 10 on the iTN2100.
