15.6.1 Appearance and functions
Appearance
Function
The OPCOM3500E-120EOS×4L is a tributary service card on the iTN2100.
Receive services from the end users by Raisecom PDH optical transceivers (such as
RCMS29XX family and RC86X family). It supports 4-ways PDH optical signals, and
each way supports four ways of E1 services and one way of 100 Mbit/s Ethernet
services. It can abstract at most 16 ways of E1 services and four ways of Ethernet
services within itself according to VC12 level, and then map them to the SDH
transportation network.
The iTN2100 can be plugged into with multiple OPCOM3500E-120EOS×4L cards.
Each OPCOM3500E-120EOS×4L is connected to at most four PDH optical
transceivers.
Provide four ways of PDH optical interfaces.
Support hybrid multiplexing of 16 ways of E1 signals and four ways of 100 Mbit/s
Ethernet data.
Support complete alarms. Local and remote alarms can be displayed concurrently.
Support assignment of input Ethernet services with N×VC12 bandwidth, and then
transmit them to the SDH network.
Support two Ethernet encapsulation modes: GFP and LAPS.
Support VCAT and LCAS.
Support remote remote NMS for Raisecome's RCMS29XX Ethernet multiplexer family
and RC86XX optical transceiver family. If it is connected to the RCMS2811, they can
implement 1+1 inter-card protection switchover.
Support local and remote loopback.
Support LPR alarms.
Support ALS.
Support online software upgrade for local and remote devices.
Support hot swapping.

The OPCOM3500E-120EOS×4L can be plugged into slots 1–5 and 8–12 on the iTN2100.
