Function
The OPCOM3500E-STM1-S is an optical SDH tributary card on the
iTN2100, with three versions: A, B, and C.
Support SFP connectors for connecting fiber.
Provide two SDH STM1 optical interfaces and support VC12. They
support at most 63 VC12 channels if these two SDH STM1 optical
interfaces are independent.
Versions C provides 2 SDH STM1 optical interfaces and supports VC12
and VC3. It supports at most 63 VC12 channels if these two SDH STM1
optical interfaces are independent.
These two SDH STM1 optical interfaces support 1+1 dual-optical interface
protection, thus supporting inter-card protection if supported by the optical
SDH aggregation card on the iTN2100.
Support multiplexing section protection and channel protection.
DCC channels support three modes: D1-D3, D4-D12, and D1-D12. This is
supported by Version C only.
The SDH optical interface supports local inner loopback and local outer
loopback.
Support ALS.
Support LPR alarms on the remote device (if the remote device supports
LPR alarms).
Support hot swapping.
Versions A and B can be distinguished by the hardware information
label attached to the Print Circuit Board (PCB).
The left figure is the the OPCOM3500E-STM1-S panel (versions A
and B) and the right figure is the OPCOM3500E-STM1-S panel
(version C).
7.1.2 Slots
The OPCOM3500E-STM1-S can be plugged into slots 1–5 and 8–12 on the iTN2100.
