USB Floppy Disk Drive and USB CD-ROM (DVD-ROM) Drive
To use the ServerStart CD-ROM, connect the USB floppy disk drive and USB CD-ROM drive or USB
DVD-ROM drive to the server blade to be installed. Use the USB Cable to connect them before turning
the power on the server blade.
It is strongly recommended that only products listed on the PRIMERGY website (http://
primergy.fujitsu.com) are connected to the server.
The USB device connection state must not be changed during running of the server blade, unless
specified in procedures.

Cautions for Installing a Memory Module
This server blade supports up to 12GB. However, the installable size varies depending on the OS being
used. Furthermore, since the server uses part of the memory as PCI resources, the maximum available
size is limited.
The following shows the maximum installable size and the maximum available size.
*1: When installing 4GB or more of memory in a server, the /PAE option in the "Boot.ini" file must be specified
(except Windows Server 2003 x64).
Do not change "Memory Test" to [Disabled] in the Main menu of the BIOS Setup Utility (The default
value is [Enabled]).
If it is set to [Disabled], memory failure cannot be detected at startup.
Even when it is set to [Disabled], a memory count of 3GB or more will be displayed during the POST
phase. However, this is a specification of the server and an actual memory test will not be performed.
