Installation Precautions
Section 3-2
Accessibility for
Operation and
Maintenance
• To ensure safe access for operation and maintenance, separate the PLC
as much as possible from high-voltage equipment and moving machinery.
• The PLC will be easiest to install and operate if it is mounted at a height of
about 1,000 to 1,600 mm.
!Caution
Do not touch the power supply or the area around the I/O terminals while
power is being supplied or immediately after power has been turned OFF.
Doing so may result in burns.
!Caution
After the power supply has been turned OFF, wait until the PLC has suffi-
ciently cooled before touching it.
Improving Noise
Resistance
• Do not mount the PLC in a control panel containing high-voltage equip-
ment.
• Install the PLC at least 200 mm from power lines.
• Ground the mounting plate between the PLC and the mounting surface.
Mounting in a Panel
• The CP1L must be installed in the orientation shown below to ensure ade-
quate cooling.
