The program exits and reboots the access point.
Importing or Exporting the WEP Configuration
The WEP configuration allows you to import from or export to a Windows
executable (EXE) file called the “WEP Install Utility EXE file.” This file can be
used as a storage file for a WEP configuration for either the access point or the PC
card. This file can also be executed by itself to install the WEP configuration into
the registry of a laptop. This allows for easy installation of the WEP configuration
file, so that a user does not have to go through the WEP setup procedure.
The executable file requires a password, which is used execute it or import it into
the AP Manager or Station WEP setup utility. Create a password when using the
export option of BayStack AP manager or the Station WEP Setup Utility.
Importing a File to WEP
Importing a file allows you to add previously configured WEP keys to the WEP
Keys list. This allows for quicker configuration of the access points.
To import a WEP executable file:
1.
From the WEP tab, click Import.
A standard Windows Import dialog box opens.

Locate the WEP Install Utility EXE file.
3.
Click Open.
The file fills all the keys in the WEP Keys list (
Figure 4-10
).

Click the key (Key 0, Key 1, etc.) that you want to activate.
5.
Click OK.
The access point is rebooted and commits the changes to memory.
