Table 4-3 describes the items in the Basic tab.
Table 4-3. Basic Tap Items
Item Description
Name Type a new name for the access point. From 1 to 32
alphanumeric characters.
ESSID Type a new service set identification for the access point.
From 1 to 32 alphanumeric characters.
IP Address Type the IP address of the access point.
Subnet Type or add the Subnet mask for the access point.
Gateway Type or add the Gateway address for the access point
(optional).
Change Password Check to change or add the password of the access point.
Enable Telnet Access Check to enable Telnet for the access point (default:
unchecked).
Wireless MAC Address Displays the MAC address of a specific access point.
Firmware Displays the firmware version of a specific access point.
NTI MIB Displays the NTI MIBs of a specific access point.
Note: Ethernet MAC address is the MAC address for the access point. The
wireless MAC address is the MAC address of the adapter installed in your access
point.
