Running the AP Manager Software
This section guides you through using the BayStack AP Manager software. Many
dialog boxes display several options. Choose the appropriate steps for your access
point management needs.
The AP Manager software monitors and verifies many of the parameters you type
in the open fields. If you type a value that is outside the capabilities of the
hardware or software, a dialog box opens that either questions the parameter that
you have entered or displays the acceptable value range.
Starting the AP Manager Software
To start the AP Manager software:
• From Windows taskbar, choose Start > Programs > BayStack AP
Manager > BayStack AP Manager.
The BayStack AP Manager window opens ( Figure 4-3 )

Note: The PC you use to manage the access point must be running a TCP/IP
protocol stack. If you are connected to an access point on a wireless connection,
you will be able to manage that access point.
