Flash Upgrading the PC Card in the Access Point
Do the following to upgrade a BayStack 660 PC Card installed in the
BayStack 660 Access Point to the latest version of firmware:
1.
If you have not already done so, install the new version of BayStack AP
Manager (go to
Chapter 4, “Installing and Starting the AP Manager ”).
2.
If you have not already done so, flash upgrade the firmware for the access
point (go to
“Flash Upgrading the Access Point” on page 7-1 ).
3.
Do the following to flash upgrade your PC card.

From Windows taskbar, select Start > Programs > BayStack AP Manager
(folder) > BayStack AP Manager (.exe file).
The AP Manager menu opens.
5.
From the Actions pull-down menu, select Access Points.
The Access Point dialog box opens.
6.
Click your AP Name listed in the entry field.
7.
Click Actions.
The Actions ( Figure 7-1 on page 7-2 ) dialog box for a single access point
opens.
8.
Click Upgrade Adapter Firmware.
9.
Click OK.
The Select Upgrade File dialog box opens.
10.
Find the directory that has the PC Card firmware upgrade files:
• For the BayStack 650 adapter, select ASP_FWFH.BIN.
• For the BayStack 660 OEM adapter (3 LEDs), select ASP_FWDS.BIN.
• For the BayStack 660 adapter (2 LEDs), select ASP_FWDR.BIN.
11.
Click Open.
The new firmware is loaded and saved.
