Setup for Troubleshooting
Perform the following setup procedure preliminarily to recover from a failure quickly and reliably
when a failure occurs.
Setup for Memory Dump
This is a setting for collecting memory dump (debug information) in the server.
For Windows Server 2008
Follow the procedure below to set up.
1. Go to
“Start
→
Control Panel”
and click
“System”.
“System”
dialog box is displayed.
2. Click
“Advanced system settings”.
“System Properties”
dialog box is displayed.
IMPORTANT:
Notes on memory dump

If a failure occurs after the setting described here, and the server
is rebooted to save memory dump, a message indicating
insufficient virtual memory may be displayed at the time of
booting. However, ignore the message and boot the server. If the
server is rebooted at this moment, the memory dump may not be
saved properly.
