Preparation for Mounting/Unmounting
Prepare for mounting/unmounting parts by following the procedure below.
1. Set
to
the
maintenance
mode (refer to “Set Maint Mode”).
2. Shut down OS of the server to be replaced and turn OFF the power.
Step 2 is omitted in the following case.
· In
A1080a-S /A1080a-D/A1080a-E
, the operation in step 2 is not performed when replacing a
hard disk configured in RAID other than RAID0, a fan module, or a power supply unit/power
cable in the power redundant configuration.
3. Secure enough space on the front, rear, right, and left side, and top of the server.
IMPORTANT:
It is required to turn off the power of the server when
adding/replacing parts, except for online replacement.
IMPORTANT:
A hard disk configured in RAID other than RAID0, a fan module, or
a power supply unit/power cable in the power redundant
configuration can be replaced online.
IMPORTANT:
In A1080a-D model, turn OFF the DC power of both servers when
replacing DVD drive device.
In all models, turn OFF the DC power of the server when replacing
a hard disk configuring RAID0
