System Diagnostics
This section describes System Diagnostics that executes various tests for the server, and how to
use its functions.
Contents of System Diagnostics
Following items are tested in system diagnostics.

Checking memory installed on the server
●
Checking cache memory of the processor
●
Checking hard disk drives used as a system drive
Starting and Exiting System Diagnostics
There are two procedures for the system diagnostics: The first is using a console (keyboard)
directly connected to the server. The second is using a console on a management PC connected
through the management LAN port (console-less).
The following is the starting up procedure.
1. Shutdown the OS and power off the server. Unplug the power cord.
2. Remove all the LAN cables from the server.
3. Plug in the power cord and power on the server.
IMPORTANT:
Ensure to disconnect LAN cable from the server first before the
system diagnostics is executed. The network may become affected
if the LAN cable remains connected to the server while System
Diagnostics is in operation.
NOTE:
Hard disk drive check writes nothing on the disk.
