Checking Status LEDs
When the power of the server is turned on, or before shutting down to turn off the server, check
the LED of hard disks installed in 2.5-inch disk bays and LED on the front of the server. Refer to
“LED Description” of the document “Hardware” for the display and contents of LED. If LEDs
show any abnormality of the server, refer to “Troubleshooting” . If the failure cannot be
removed by referring “Troubleshooting,” contact your maintenance service company.
Making Backup Copies
We recommend you make backup copies of your valuable data stored in the hard disk drives of
the server on a regular basis. For information on the backup storage devices suitable for the
erver and the backup tools, consult with your service representative.
When you have changed the hardware configuration or BIOS configuration, use the Server Web
console ([Configuration]
→ [Save or Restore] ) and then " Save Settings " to make a backup
copy of the system information.
Also make a backup copy of the RAID System configuration data if your system is in a RAID
System configuration. When your hard disk drives have been auto-rebuilt due to a failure, we
recommend to make a backup copy of the configuration data. To make a backup copy of the
configuration data, refer to the manuals stored in NEC EXPRESSBUILDER.
