Fault exists
Blinking in amber
This indicates that a hard disk drive is rebuilding (it is not a failure). In the RAID system, data
is rebuilt automatically (auto-rebuild function) after the failed hard disk drive is replaced. LED
goes off after rebuilding is completed. LED lights in amber if rebuilding fails.
NOTE:
The operation can continue even if one hard disk drive fails
depending on the RAID level when the logical drive is configured
in the RAID system. However, it is recommended to replace the
disk immediately and rebuild the hard disk drive (Hard disk drive is
hot-swappable and can be replaced online).
IMPORTANT:
Rebuilding discontinues when the power of the server is turned off
while rebuilding. Replace the hard disk drive online
(hot-swapping) again and start over rebuilding after rebooting the
server. Note the follow the precautions below when using the
auto-rebuild function.
●
Do not turn off the power (auto-rebuild function is not started
once the power is turned off).
●
Take at least 60 seconds interval between attachment/removal of
a hard disk drive.
●
Do not replace a hard disk drive if there is another hard disk
drive being rebuilt.
