3. Move the Ramp Rate slider to a lower ramp rate to slowly increase the voltage to prevent an overcurrent condition.
4. Select the test you want to run by clicking on the buttons in the bottom right corner. In most cases, you should
run the IR/DA/PI tests before running a HiPot test to ensure that the asset passes the lower voltage tests before
progressing to high-voltage testing.
5. When voltage is applied to the test leads, the indicator in the top right corner flashes while the leads are energized.
LEDs on the ADX front panel also light to show which leads are energized.

6. Monitor the display during testing to track progress and view results. If a test fails, the software will notify you of
the issue before stopping the test.
NOTE: If Temperature Compensation is used (set in this screen using the drop-down list, or in the active
test configuration) the MΩ field will display the corrected value based on that compensation, not the
direct calculated value. You can change this display during testing by changing the value in the Temp
Compensation drop-down list.
7. Monitor each test as it runs by looking at the test indicator and timer in the lower left corner. It will show which
test is running along with the time remaining for that test.
8. When the IR/PI tests complete and you have reviewed the results to your satisfaction, ramp the voltage up to the
next target level for the type of HiPot test you want to conduct.
9. Press the button for the type of HiPot test you want to conduct then monitor the timer to complete the test (or step
for HiPot Step test).
10. When the timer reaches zero, ramp the voltage to the next level for HiPot Step tests and repeat until you complete
the final step.
