Changing Gmail settings

While the content of the
received mail or "Inbox"
screen is displayed,

"More" → "Settings".

Change the settings if
required.
SMS
You can send and receive text messages
containing up to 70 double-byte characters
(or 160 single-byte alphanumerical
characters) to other terminals.
Sending an SMS message

From the Home screen,

"Messaging".

Tap the "To" box → enter the
forwarding recipient phone
number.

A list of contacts beginning with the
entered characters appears.

Tap the "Type to compose"
box → enter your message.

Mark
unread
When you open a thread, its
status automatically changes
to Read. You can change the
status of a Read thread to
Unread by tapping "Mark
unread". You can change the
status of an Unread thread to
Read by tapping "Mark read".
Delete
Delete a thread.
Add star
Turn a thread's star icon gold.
When you display a menu for a
thread with a star icon that
has already been turned gold,
touch and hold the thread to
display "Remove star". Tapping
it will turn the star gray.
Change
labels
Tap this menu to display the
"Label" menu which is
convenient for sorting emails.
Report
spam
The thread is deleted and
reported to Google as a
nuisance email.

page to view information about
mobile software provided by
Google.
General
settings
Set your signature, character
size, labels, whether to confirm
operations etc. You can also
delete the search history.
Notification
settings
Set the notification of a new
email and the ringtone/
vibration for received emails.
