Bluetooth Communication
You can connect your FOMA terminal
wirelessly to a Bluetooth device to exchange
data.
For information about the settings and
operation procedures, see also the
instruction manual of the Bluetooth device
to be connected.
There is no guarantee that the FOMA
terminal is capable of wireless connection
to all types of Bluetooth device.
■Notes on the use of the Bluetooth function
1. When connecting the FOMA terminal to a
Bluetooth device, make sure that the sight
distance between them is within 10
meters. Depending on the surrounding
environment (walls, furniture, etc.) and the
structure of the building, the connectable
distance may become extremely short.
2. Make sure that the Bluetooth connection
is located more than 2 meters or more
away from any other device (electric
appliance, AV device, OA equipment, etc.).
Since the Bluetooth connection is
particularly susceptible to an operating
microwave oven, it must be located 3
meters or more away from the microwave
oven. If any such device is present nearby,
you may not be able to establish the
connection normally. Also, TVs and radios
may produce noise or distorted images.
■Radio interference with wireless LAN
devices
The Bluetooth function of the FOMA terminal
uses the same frequency band (2.4 GHz) as
wireless LAN devices. Therefore, if the
function is used nearby a wireless LAN
device, radio interference may occur,
potentially leading to a drop in the
communication speed, noise, or connection
failure. If this happens, take one of the
following steps:
1. Make sure that the Bluetooth device is 10
meters or more away from the wireless
LAN device.
2. If the Bluetooth device is to be used within
10 meters of the wireless LAN device, turn
off the power of the wireless LAN device.
