The LED lights in blue to let you know
that the Osaifu-Keitai is being used.
NOTE
Even when the FOMA terminal is powered
off or its battery is low, you can use the
Osaifu-Keitai function by waving the
terminal over a reader with the
e
mark
facing the reader (you cannot start Osaifu-
Keitai applications). Note, however, that you
may not be able to use the function if you
have left the battery pack unused for a long
time or uncharged after a battery alarm. In
that case, charge the battery pack. You
cannot use the Osaifu-Keitai function if the
battery pack is removed from the FOMA
terminal.
Do not apply a strong shock to the FOMA
terminal when you wave the terminal over a
reader with the
e
mark facing the reader.
If the reader fails to detect the FOMA
terminal when you wave it with the
e
mark
facing the reader, hold the terminal closer
to the reader and move the terminal in
various directions to ensure that the
terminal is parallel to the reader.
When you wave the FOMA terminal over a
reader with the
e
mark facing the reader,
an Osaifu-Keitai application may start.
Locking the Osaifu-Keitai
function
Lock the Osaifu-Keitai function to prevent it
from being used by another person without
permission.
The Osaifu-Keitai function is not unlocked
even if you turn off the power of the FOMA
terminal.
Set a pattern, PIN or password beforehand
on "Screen lock security" (P.75).
