Initial Settings
Settings when power is first
turned ON
When the power is first turned ON, configure
language, account, and other settings for the
FOMA terminal. After setting these once,
setup screen does not appear the next time
the power is turned ON. You can also change
these settings later.

Press and hold the power
key for 2 seconds or longer.

"MEDIAS N-04C by NEC" appears.

Select language → "Next" →
"Next".

"Settings" → set up your own
Google account according to
the instructions displayed on
the screen.

Tap "Next" to skip.

Configure if you use Google
Location Service → "Next".

Configure if you use the GPS
function → "Next".

"Initialize" → set up おサイフ
ケータイ (Osaifu-Keitai)
settings according to the
instructions displayed on the
screen.

Tap "Next" to skip.

"Completed"
•
Tap "Go To the site NOW" to access
the MEDIAS official website.
NOTE
For details about email and SNS account
settings, see "Setting online service
accounts" (P.79).
A data connection (3G/GPRS) must be
available in order to set online services. For
details on enabling data connection, see
"Wireless & Networks" (P.68).
Screen Display/Icons
Status bar
The status bar is displayed at the top of the
screen. The FOMA terminal status and
notifications are displayed in the status bar.
Notification icons are displayed on the left
side, and the FOMA terminal status icons are
displayed on the right side of the status bar.
