After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when the REV-R Auxiliary contact circuit is closed.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. Bad contact of REV-R auxiliary contact.
2. Disconnected wires at auxiliary contacts / open circuited wiring.
3. Defective digital input card.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Ensure Reverser is in reverse direction. If not operate manually.
2. Check the status of the Green LED 15 on the digital input card in
slot 10.
3. If the Green LED is not glowing:
A. Auxiliary contact is bad. Clean/adjust the contact and check.
B. Check supply voltage at incoming terminal (wire No. 51) with
respect to locomotive 4 wire.
C. If supply is zero, check the continuity of 51-wire loop.
B. If the supply voltage is more than 65V, check supply between
wire no. RVRFB and locomotive 4 wire.
D. If the supply voltage is more than 65V,
a) Check the slackness of the connector of the cable ID: AU at
MEP660. If slack tighten the connector.
b) Check the continuity of the wire RVRFB, from the reverser
aux. Contact to connector of cable ID: AU, Pin – S. If
necessary replace the cable.
4. If green LED 15 is glowing but the corresponding yellow LED is not
glowing, then the digital input card is defective. Replace the card
and check up.
