If the fault condition is still present when cleared manually, the fault
will be generated again.

PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. Defective speed sensor cable.
2. Defective speed sensor.
3. Un coupled gear in the Tr. Motor No. 3
4. Defective RPM Distribution Box.
5. Defective MFIP16 card.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Reset the fault manually.
2. Check for any cable cut/disconnection from the Tr.Motor 3 speed
sensor to RDB.
3. Check for slackness Tr.Motor 3 speed sensor cable connector
available on bottom of the chassis. If slack tighten the connector.
4. Check the continuity of the individual wires of the cable ID: L from
under chassis to RDB. If any open circuit is found replace the cable.
5. Check the continuity of 19-core cable from RDB to MEP-660 control
unit.
6. If cables are found normal and still the fault is logging frequently,
A. Check for any slackness of fixing bolts of the Tr. Motor Speed
sensor. If slack tighten.
B. Replace the Tr. Motor speed sensor and check up.
C. Check up the Gear fitted on to the Tr. Motor armature shaft by
removing the commutator end grease cup. If slack or worked
out attend.
D. Replace the MFIP16 card and check up.
