RESET LEVEL
Low, Manual
If the fault condition is still present when cleared manually, the fault
will be generated again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when engine cranking is successful.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
Most probably this fault is logged soon after cranking if the cranking is
not successful.
1. Weak batteries due to:
A. Repeated cranking or
B. Loco worked on batteries for longer period and then shut down.
2. There may be short circuit in the engine cranking circuit of Aux.
Machines.
3. Defective Aux. Machines.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Measure the battery voltage with a voltmeter. Compare the
measured value with the battery voltage displayed on the display
unit.
2. If both the voltages are same, change the batteries set with fully
charged set.
3. If the voltage is good and specific gravity is normal, check up the
cranking circuit for any short circuit of positive and negative cables.
Check and isolate if any short circuit is found.
4. One of the Aux. Machines may be defective internally. Check and
replace the defective machine.
