FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when loco speed reduces to 2 KMs below the set speed for
direction change.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
Most probably this problem occurs while the loco is n shunting service.
1. Driver might have attempted to reverse the direction of movement
even though the loco speed is more than 5 KMPh.
2. 0/8 wires might be getting wrong feed through another loco in MU.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Check the data pack for the fault logged.
2. Check the status of 0 and 8 wires supply and locomotive speed.
3. If no attempt of directional reverse is noticed,
4. Crank the engine and the loco for forward movement.
5. Check the status of Green LEDs 0 and 1 on the MDIP 16 card in slot
9
6. Only one green LED and corresponding yellow LED should glow at
one direction.
7. If both Green LEDs are glowing, wiring problem. Identify the wrong
feed and rectify.
8. If only one green LED and both yellow LEDs are glowing, then the
Digital input card MDIP 16 in slot No. 9 is defective. Replace the
card and check once again.
